The Gym Junkies
Today I read another 'anti-Team USA[ article online. This time, the guy whose lack of pressance on the team us David Sender. Is it just me, or are they working thier way down the list from Trials? First Raj, then Golden.... okay, getting back on track here.
This is not a matter of Sender or his coach's emotions. Who can blame them? He isn't on the squad, not even as an alternate. This is hard news for anyone to take. Personally, I was deeply saddened by this news, so much so that I've started a letter for David. I was in the arena the night he was crowned National champion, and the look of sheer joy on his face will stay with me a long, long time. When I heard of his imjury before Trials, I was crushed. He seems like a genuinely nice guy, and I wish him nothing but the best.
I have a few problems with this article. However, that is a topic for later discussions as well. No, it's the core of this article that tonight has me a little enraged. Since the minute the Olympic team was named, I've heard nasty comments. The selection committee is stupid. This team is a disgrace. It's a conspiracy. Certain members should give up their spots. They didn't earn them.
Enough is enough. Let's look at the facts, shall we?
Everyone following okay? Good. Because I just got warmed up.
